[edit] Description

Track List is the panel at the top right of the Jaangle Screen by default. This panel shows the contents of items selected in the Music Browser/Tree View.


[edit] The Basics

The up and down arrow icon allows you to toggle this pane on or off.

The Configuration icon is not yet being used.


The Play button will send all tracks by that artist to the Playlist and start playing them

The Enqueue button will send all tracks to the end of the playlist queue.


  • Single left click on a title in this panel to select it and display Special Info in the bottom right panel.
  • Double click to send a title to the Play List and start it playing immediately.


  • Select a title and hit Enter to start that title playing
  • Select a title and hit the backspace key to add the item to the Play List queue
  • Drag and drop a title from the Track List to the Play List queue

  • Right click anywhere on the column headings to choose which columns you want visible

  • Left click on a column heading to sort titles on that field. eg. click on Artist to sort titles in ascending order by artist name. Click artist again to change sort order to descending.
  • Hold down the shift key and left click on a different column to create a 2nd sort order within the first eg. to sort tracks by year and then have within each year's group the tracks sorted by track number you would click Year to sort the tracks by year then hold down the shift key while clicking Track No.

Clicking on this button will start the title playing immediately

Clicking on this button will send the title to the end of the queue

Clicking this button will add the title to the beginning of the queue, ie. ahead of other titles in the queue but after the currently playing title


[edit] Title

The icon directly in front of a title indicates if it is an audio or video file

The blue icon with the italic, white i indicates the file has a comment.

The green icon with the black pen indicates a file contains the lyrics

You can choose to hide these icons through the Options menu.

  • Click the Options Menu
  • Click TrackList on the left
  • Uncheck the box in front of Show info icons

Play - Starts track playing immediately

Enqueue - Adds track to the end of the Playlist queue

Locate Album - For use when searching ie. after typing in the search box choose Locate Album to find the complete album. Open Containing Folder - Opens Windows Explorer at the folder where the file is stored

  • Advanced
    • Play in External player, ie. plays the title in the default media player
    • Enqueue in External player, ie. Queues the title in the default media player
    • Copy To - Copy the file to the clipboard or directly to a folder
    • Copy Path - copies the file path to the clipboard
    • Read Tags - re-reads the ID3 tags
    • Write Tags - Applies the database info to the tags of the file
    • Get tags from Filename - allows you to choose which tags to use from the filename.
    • Renamer - allows for renaming of title manually or using predefined labels
    • Change Case - allows for changes to be made to the case of the title eg. All caps, No caps etc.
    • Delete - allows deleting of a file/title NB This deletes the file from your computer not just from Jaangle
    • Export Selected Lines - exports selected lines to an xml file
    • Export All - exports all data showing in Track List to an xml file
  • Services
    • Google - Opens a google search for the item in your default browser
    • Youtube - Opens a Youtube search for the item
    • All Music - Opens allmusic.com
    • Google Video - Opens a Google video search for the item

"Google Lyrics" - Lyrics - Downloads the lyrics of the title

"Google Tablatures" - Downloads tablatures from ultimateguitar.com

Rating - Allows you to give the title a rating of your choice. Choosing Poor will prevent that track from being added during Auto Continue.

Preview - Similar - Purchase Info - Opens Amazon.com at purchase page for item

Properties [Home] - Opens a Properties dialogue for the item for reading and writing of tags, comments, Lyrics, Personal Info or Tablatures
